Over the 19 years since its establishment, the Hadith and Aqidah Research Institute (INHAD) has accomplished the following:

Secured 21 Research Grants totaling RM 779,584.00

INHAD’s research has primarily focused on the fields of hadith and Islamic creed. From 2014 to 2019, the institute conducted 21 research projects funded with a total of RM 779,584.00 and involved by 7 graduate research assistants. Several of these research outputs have been registered with MyIPO as part of future commercialization efforts..

Signed Research MoAs with International Universities

On 28 August 2019, INHAD signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for research collaboration with Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Brunei Darussalam, with each institution allocating RM 50,000 for the joint research project titled “A Study of Living Hadith in Malaysian and Bruneian Societies.”

Additionally, a research MoA was signed between KUIS and Yayasan Ikhlas for the years 2021–2023, covering 2-years project titled “Application of the Philosophy of Knowledge in the Civilization of the Ummah” with a total funding of RM 24,000.

Developed the e-Gadis Mobile Application, Won Silver and Gold Medals

INHAD developed the mobile app “e-Gadis,” available on Google Playstore, designed to help educators and medical professionals identify sexual harassment cases involving teenage girls and children. This innovation earned a Silver Medal at the PECIPTA 2019 competition held at UTHM and a Gold Medal at the 6th International Research Management & Innovation Conference (IRMIC) in 2019..

Published 40 Book and 17 Issues of the Jurnal Hadis

INHAD has published over 40 books on hadith and creed in both Arabic and Malay languages. It has also established publishing collaborations with Darul Syakir Malaysia and Darul Syamam Turkey to expand access to hadith and creed knowledge. Furthermore, INHAD has published 26 issues of its Jurnal Hadis on a biannual basis since 2011, transitioning to an online format starting in 2016.

Organized the Annual INHAD International Muzakarah and Muktamar on Hadith (IMAM)

As part of its academic and intellectual development agenda, INHAD has organized the INHAD International Muzakarah and Muktamar on Hadith (IMAM) annually since 2016. This seminar has attracted nearly 50 international presenters each year from countries such as Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Iraq, Egypt, Sudan, and other Gulf countries.

Monthly Community Development Programs and the Bicara Murabbi by Ustaz Abdul Somad Lc. MAA

INHAD actively serves as a bridge to the community through its monthly programs such as hadith authentication workshops (takhrij al-hadith), creed strengthening initiatives, hadith scholar forums, and intensive courses on classical hadith texts (daurah). It also organized a Seminar on Liberalism, which attracted 700 participants from various societal backgrounds outside UIS. One of INHAD’s most significant highlights was the Bicara Murabbi program featuring Ustaz Abdul Somad Lc. MA on 13 February 2019, which drew an audience of over 10,000 people and received public contributions totaling RM35,000.

Establishment of Industry, Academic, and Publishing Networks

INHAD has built strong academic partnerships with institutions such as Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Brunei; Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY); Institut Islam Hadhari (UKM); Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM); the World Fatwa Management and Research Institute (USIM); and the Nusantara Da'wah Research Institute (KUIM). It has also collaborated with organizations including the Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah Organization (ASWAJA), Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS), Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS), Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), and the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN). INHAD maintains ties with international hadith institutions such as Darul Sunnah and Darul Hadith Jakarta, Darul Hadith JAKIM, Darul Syakir (Malaysia), Darul Syamam (Turkey), and the Akademi Jawi Malaysia.

INHAD’s Five-Year Strategic Plan

Looking ahead, INHAD plans to solidify its role as a leading reference authority in the fields of hadith and creed through impactful research that benefits society and the nation. A key part of its five-year plan includes the establishment of a dedicated academic Kursi (endowed research chair), aimed at expanding research prospects in line with current needs and the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0).
